Last year at Carnage we had some enterprising designers come in and share their games with us. These prototypes were well received. So we decided to do it again this year. Maybe a little bigger, and certainly brighter.

On Saturday morning and afternoon in the Oscar Wilde Ballroom we will be offering up and coming board game designers space to show off their games. If you are interested, please sign up using the GM submission forms here at the website. In the other notes box, please indicate that you are interested in participating in the Design Prototype Event this year. We are looking forward to having the designers back again and hopefully some new faces and games.

Extra Life at Carnage Royale

Extra Life charity logo. Slogan: "Play games. Heal kids." Benefiting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

We are happy to announce that Extra Life is coming to Carnage Royale!

Extra Life is a 24 hour gaming marathon to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Players sign up to join the Extra Carnage team, ask the people in your life to donate, then at Carnage Royale play games for 24 hours! The money you raise will go to your local hospital to help kids.

Oh, and don’t worry, it’s not 24 straight hours of gaming. Bathroom breaks are highly encouraged!

Organizer Edwin has exciting news:

Our Extra Life extravaganza at Carnage Royale will kick off with a multi-table, high-action, DCC tournament of Carnival of the Damned Friday at 7 PM. The Carnival of the Damned is a Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG zero level adventure with tournament style play. Characters who survive gradually uncover the sinister purpose of the carnival and its twisted overseer, the Black Jester! Play one character or many, those that survive the most encounters can win prizes and all can take home nightmares.

Other events planned for the 24-hour period between Friday at 7 and Saturday at 7 include Saturday Morning Cartoons (kids helping kids), Midnight Fiasco, and some very exciting exclusive Call of Cthulhu content. More info on all these events in the coming weeks.

Extra Life Carnage RoyaleYou can participate in Extra Life by playing other kinds of games, too. All of the time you spend playing games during the weekend goes toward your 24 hours. This includes RPGs, board games, arcade games like 겜블시티 슬롯, miniatures, Diplomacy and even pickup games you play with your friends! There are board games that can be checked out outside the Oscar Wilde room, so grab some gamers and add to your hours with a pickup game.

Since you are going to be playing games at Carnage Royale anyway, why not sign up and raise some money for a good cause? Join the Extra Carnage team if you are willing to be a fundraiser.

If you are running a game and would like it to be in support of Extra Life, please include “This game supports Extra Life” in the game description. If you have already submitted your game and would like to add this statement please email Carnage staff member Nyssa at missnyss17@gmail.com

Keep checking the Carnage Lounge on Facebook for updates and consider joining the Extra Life team to help make a difference for children in your area!

Carnage Royale Opens for Game Submissions

Carnage Royale is looking for people to volunteer to share and teach their favorite games at this year’s convention, November 4th through 6th, 2016 in Killington, Vermont. A tabletop game convention like Carnage wouldn’t exist without passionate people who step up to volunteer to run games for players, so we’re putting the call out for game submissions. Whether you’re an enthusiast looking for fellow players, a designer who wants to get their game some exposure or a publisher with a stable of titles to show off, we want to hear from you! Carnage game offerings span the spectrum from board and card games to miniatures battles of all genres to role-playing adventures.

When you’re ready, fill out the GM submission form on our site with your game’s details and send them to us. If you would like to submit more than one game, wait a moment after submitting and your web browser will be redirected to the submission page.

The deadline to have your submissions in to Carnage for inclusion in the convention book is July 31st. Submissions received after that date may still be considered, but Carnage cannot guarantee they will be included in the convention book on publication, which is the best way to get maximum exposure for your game.

Carnage Royale is a tabletop game convention that runs November 4th through 6th, 2016 at the Killington Grand Resort in Killington, Vermont. Lodging information at Killington is available. Once the convention book is compiled, registration will open to conventioneers in the fall. For further updates, you can check back at www.carnagecon.com, and follow Carnage on Facebook and Twitter.
