Note: As of 2016, Killington’s renovations are complete and on-site food and options are back to normal. See the Lodging page for more information.
The Killington resort informed Carnage that the main hotel’s restaurant, Ovations, would be closed during the fall of 2015 for renovations. Unfortunately, the resort’s renovation schedule coincides with Carnage of the Lost World. Recognizing the impact the lack of an on-site restaurant space would have on Carnage-goers during the convention, Killington has worked with Carnage to ensure there are ample options for food and beverages throughout the weekend.
Below you will find listed options to purchase food and drink from Killington during Carnage of the Lost World in 2015. Some of these options have always been available. Others are being offered by the resort to make up for the loss of the main restaurant space.
Carnage regrets any inconvenience this may cause our guests. The Killington resort is making all efforts to provide the usual dining amenities, as well as additional options. Carnage believes the options provided by the resort will meet convention-goers’ needs for dining and socializing during Carnage of the Lost World. We hope you will join us in 2015 for the best convention yet.
Clubhouse Bar & Grill
Across the road from the Grand Resort — a three to five minute walk from the front lobby — is the Clubhouse Bar & Grill. Normally closed in November, Killington is offering this venue as an alternative venue for sit-down dining during Carnage in 2015. The Clubhouse serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Oscar Wilde Ballroom
Outside the Oscar Wilde ballroom, the main space Carnage uses for board games and miniatures, Killington will set up a point of sale for pub-style food and beverages. This point will be open Friday evening til close, 11am on Saturday to close and Sunday morning and early afternoon.
Snowshed Food Court
The food court space in Snowshed, attached to the card game room, will be selling hot beverages and breakfast sandwiches in the morning, and sandwiches, hot and cold beverages, beer and wine in the afternoon and evening. Snowshed food options will be open from 1pm to 11pm on Friday, 7am to 11pm on Saturday and 7am to 2pm on Sunday.
Ski Check Bar
In lieu of the bar in Ovations, Killington will configure the Ski Check room as a service bar. The area outside the Ski Check room, and the lounge area outside the Northstar room — also known as the dealer’s room — will be furnished with couches, chairs and tables for convention-goers to socialize. The bar will be open from 5pm t0 closing Friday night and 11am until closing on Saturday.
Killington’s convenience store, Grand Essentials, will offer their usual assortment of drinks, snacks and prepared food. The mountain road to the resort offers a bevvy of restaurants and convenience stores.
